Our engineers are vital to the innovation and digitalization of BMW Group's driving machines, production, sales and banking processes, and you could be part of our evolving teams.
As IT Manager, you will drive the development of a scalable, secure and audit-ready IT HUB. You will collaborate with BMW Group clusters and support the growth of the HUB from 500 to 1000+ colleagues.
Responsibilities Include

• IT Governance, Strategy and HUB Architecture
• Define and maintain IT strategy and roadmap
• Align HUB architecture with BMW Group processes and standards
• Drive Workspace Transformation and HUB Identity development
• Maintain and develop the IT service tooling landscape (SysAid, Confluence, Jira, Vanta, M365) to support efficient operations.
• Information Security, Compliance and Audit Readiness
• Operate and improve the local ISMS (ISO27001, ISO9001, TISAX, GDPR, EU AI Act)
• Execute CIS v8 controls and prepare audit evidence
• Coordinate compliance processes and internal/external audits
• Vendor and Service Management
• Manage strategic IT suppliers and SLAs (e.g. NTT DATA, Hardware Suppliers etc.)
• Oversee hardware lifecycle and procurement
• Ensure cost transparency and support IT budgeting
• Cross-HUB Collaboration and Bridgehead Function
• Act as primary interface to BMW Group Initiatives (Security, End-User Devices and Projects)
• Drive alignment across global DevOps HUBs
• Lead knowledge transfer and best-practice exchanges
• Training, Awareness and People Enablement
• Promote IT and ISMS trainings
• Maintain IT knowledge, onboarding and documentation standards
• Strengthen collaboration and communication paths within the HUB
• Business Continuity & IT Risk Management
• Coordinate IT Business Continuity readiness including backup processes, IT risk assessments and mitigation activities.
• Maintain the local IT risk register and ensure alignment with BMW Group risk governance.
• Process Ownership & Governance
• Own local IT processes including Change Management, Asset Inventory, Access Reviews and Knowledge Management.
• Ensure accurate documentation for operational controls, policies and audit readiness.
  

What should you bring along
Requirements
Here we include the requirements of the role. It’s mandatory to also include the following requirements related to mandatory degrees, years of experience or language skills for each new role advertised:

• University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Management, IT Governance or IT Service/Infrastructure leadership
• Experience with ISO 27001, TISAX, CIS v8 and GDPR
• Strong understanding of IT processes, IAM and enterprise collaboration ecosystems
• Proven collaboration skills with distributed technical teams
• Demonstrated management capability in complex organizational and technological environments
• Solid understanding of ITIL-based IT Service Management principles.
• Excellent English verbal and written skills
• German communication skills are a plus
