Introduction
We are looking for a highly skilled IT Operations Manager with a strong focus on enterprise applications especially Mobility Applications, to ensure the smooth operation, availability, and performance of our business-critical software landscape. This role requires a proactive leader who can oversee end-to-end support, manage incidents, drive continuous service improvement, and work closely with cross-functional teams to align IT operations with business needs.
Tasks

• Oversee and manage end-to-end application support, ensuring high availability and performance of business applications.
• Act as the escalation point for critical incidents and coordinate troubleshooting efforts with IT teams and vendors.
• Ensure efficient incidents and change management processes following ITIL best practices.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand application needs and translate them into operational improvements.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, stability, and security.
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
• Manage application lifecycle, including upgrades, patches, and decommissioning outdated systems.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams to ensure seamless integration of applications into the IT environment.
• Lead a team of application support specialists and coordinate with external service providers.
• Establish KPIs and SLAs to measure and improve application support efficiency.
• Drive automation and self-service capabilities to reduce manual workloads.
• Ensure compliance with security, data protection, and IT governance standards.
• Support IT projects related to application deployment, migration, and optimization.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in application management and IT service operations.
  

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, IT service management (ITSM), and monitoring tools.
• Experience in incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL).
• Familiarity with cloud-based applications (Azure, AWS, SaaS solutions).
• Basic understanding of databases, middleware, and API integrations.
• Knowledge of automation tools and scripting is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English (>=B2).
• Fluency in German is a significant advantage. (>=B2)
