We're looking for an IT Project Manager who actually understands the tech. Not someone who tracks tickets and sends status updates - someone who knows what a PDU is, can read a data center floor plan, and doesn't need a 30-minute briefing before a vendor call.

You've managed infrastructure projects before. You know the difference between a core switch and an access switch, you understand what virtualization means in practice, and you can hold a technical conversation with an engineer without pretending to follow along.

You'll be running multiple concurrent projects - vendor negotiations, client meetings, status dashboards, delivery tracking. Your role with us:

• You'll be managing infrastructure and IT projects on behalf of our clients - coordinating vendors, tracking delivery, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Every two weeks you'll run client-facing meetings with HQ stakeholders in the UK - presenting project status, risks, and next steps in a clear, professional way.
• This is a company built and run by IT professionals. We value structure, proactivity, and people who own their work end to end.

What you'll actually do:

👉 Own project delivery

• Manage a portfolio of several concurrent projects across different stages - active, on hold, in review. You know at any point exactly where each one stands.
• Run bi-weekly client status meetings with HQ in the UK - prepare agendas, present dashboards, follow up on actions.
• Lead vendor discussions - negotiate timelines, clarify scope, and hold suppliers accountable to commitments.
• Maintain JIRA project boards and dashboards that give the team and client real visibility - not just vanity metrics.
• Produce clear, well-structured project documentation - status reports, risk logs, meeting minutes, delivery plans.

👉 Bridge the gap between business and tech

• Translate infrastructure requirements into actionable project plans that both technical teams and business stakeholders can follow.
• Understand what's happening on the technical side well enough to ask the right questions, flag risks early, and make informed decisions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the client, vendors, and internal engineering teams.
• Spot dependencies and blockers before they become problems - not after.

👉 Keep things structured and moving

• Track project health proactively - budget, timeline, scope, risks - and escalate when something is off.
• Build and maintain delivery frameworks and templates that make the next project easier to run than the last.
• Keep stakeholders informed without overloading them - the right information, to the right person, at the right time.

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of experience managing IT or infrastructure projects in a client-facing environment.
• Strong technical literacy in infrastructure: you know what a PDU, meet-me room, core switch, access point, and firewall are - not to configure them, but to understand where they fit and how they work.
• Solid understanding of virtualization concepts - what a hypervisor does, what ESX/ESXi is, what a virtual server means in practice.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA Projects - creating boards, tracking epics and tasks, building dashboards, managing sprints.
• Familiar with PDE (Project Delivery Environment) concepts and how structured delivery frameworks apply to infrastructure rollouts.
• Excellent English - written and verbal. You're comfortable running meetings with senior stakeholders in the UK without needing a script.
• Highly structured and detail-oriented - your documentation is clean, your status reports are clear, and your follow-ups actually happen.
• Proactive by default - you don't wait to be told something is at risk. You see it coming and you say something.

Nice to have:

• Experience with data center projects - fit-out, cabling, rack planning, capacity sizing.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure components - switching, routing, firewall architecture, WiFi deployment.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience working with international clients or HQ-based stakeholders across different time zones.
• Background in IT vendor management - contracts, SLAs, escalations.
