Main activities:
- Active Directory & Domain Services: Manage and maintain Active Directory across multiple domains by following best practices for OU design, replication, trust relationships, and domain controller health. Oversee DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy infrastructure from start to finish.
- Security & Network: FortiGate management: configuring firewall rules, IPS/IDS, SSL inspection, IPsec/SSL VPN, MPLS administration, and multi-site WAN connectivity. Proactive monitoring with CheckMK: setting up checks, alerts, and custom dashboards for each client. Periodic vulnerability assessment and remediation: scanning, prioritizing, and applying fixes.
- Group Policy Design & Maintenance: Develop, deploy, and manage GPO policies throughout the clients’ IT systems. Maintain consistent security standards, desktop setups, and compliance enforcement through clear policy hierarchies.
- Microsoft 365 & Entra ID Operations: Manage Office 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and collaboration tools. Perform operational tasks including MFA resets, license management, and user lifecycle management. Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) integrations - including AD sync, enterprise application registration, SCIM provisioning, LDAP integrations, and Kerberos authentication.
- Windows Server Administration: Manage Windows Server environments (2016 and later) across production workloads. Conduct OS-level troubleshooting, configure Windows Firewall, administer IIS, and analyze system performance.
- Security Patching & Compliance: Manage the entire Windows security patching process, from assessing patches and scheduling to deployment (using Intune / WSUS), verification, and reporting. Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate patching cycles and maintain patching schedules documentation.
- Virtualization & Backup Infrastructure: Manage VMware virtualization environments running Windows workloads. Oversee VEEAM backup and restore procedures to ensure data security and rapid recovery for essential services.
- Monitoring, Incident Management & Service Desk: Oversee infrastructure health and address incidents, outages, and service disruptions. Resolve infrastructure incidents (INC), generate incident reports, and keep the incident log updated. Work with colleagues across L1 and L2 departments to resolve tickets (requests and incidents) on the ticketing platform.
- Automation & Scripting: Leverage PowerShell for automation of Active Directory management, user provisioning, reporting, configuration tasks, and operational workflows. Build reliable, repeatable scripts to reduce manual effort and improve consistency. Project Participation & Change Management: Engage in the design, analysis, evaluation, and implementation of infrastructure projects. Prepare scheduled maintenance windows, inform stakeholders, monitor progress, and update maintenance logs. Develop test plans with specific test cases and expected results, and prepare acceptance reports (PV) for major changes.
- Documentation, Knowledge Transfer & Asset Management: Document existing solutions and maintain up-to-date documentation for all managed services. Ensure knowledge transfer - both written and oral - to technical team members and stakeholders. Manage assets including user accounts, licenses, email accounts, SharePoint sites, file servers, and shared folders.
- Business Alignment & Continuous Improvement: Collect business requirements and propose solutions aligned with budget constraints. Integrate technical requirements into Terms of Reference and verify technical offers. Propose improvements to departmental activities, processes, and IMS (Integrated Management System) operations.
Terms of collaboration & Rewards:
- Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Position
- Location: Remote from HQ with potential for on-site visits to clients in Bucharest and Ilfov
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM; Friday – work from home
- Net Salary: 1.600 EUR – 2.000 EUR (based on certifications and experience)
