We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our IT Networking team. The team is composed of network engineers responsible for designing, deploying, maintaining, and improving enterprise network infrastructure.

This role is not expected to operate as a hands-on network engineer, but the person must understand networking terminology, concepts, and delivery challenges well enough to coordinate technical work, manage priorities, communicate clearly with engineers and stakeholders, and drive network projects to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage IT networking projects from planning through delivery.
• Work closely with network engineers to define scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
• Translate technical networking topics into clear updates for non-technical stakeholders.
• Track project progress, blockers, actions, decisions, and timelines.
• Coordinate activities related to network upgrades, migrations, site deployments, firewall changes, connectivity improvements, and infrastructure refreshes.
• Facilitate meetings with engineering teams, vendors, security teams, business stakeholders, and management.
• Ensure project documentation is maintained and up to date.
• Help prioritize work based on business impact, technical complexity, risk, and available resources.
• Identify risks early and escalate when needed.
• Support change management processes, including maintenance windows, approvals, communication plans, and rollback planning.
• Coordinate vendor activities where external providers are involved.
• Help improve team processes, reporting, planning, and delivery visibility.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience as a Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, Delivery Manager, or similar role in an IT infrastructure environment.
• Good understanding of networking concepts and terminology, such as:
• LAN, WAN, WLAN
• Routing and switching
• Firewalls
• VPN
• DNS, DHCP, IP addressing
• VLANs
• Load balancers
• Internet connectivity
• Data centers and branch networks
• Network monitoring and incident management
• Ability to communicate effectively with network engineers without needing deep hands-on engineering expertise.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams at the same time.
• Comfortable working with technical teams, business teams, vendors, and management.
• Experience with project tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Monday, Asana, or similar.
• Good understanding of change management and IT operational processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify risks, dependencies, and blockers.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in enterprise networking, telecom, cloud networking, or data center environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes.
• Experience coordinating firewall rule changes, network migrations, hardware refreshes, or office/site connectivity projects.
• Understanding of security concepts related to networking.
• Basic familiarity with cloud networking concepts in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

What This Role Is Not

This is not a pure network engineering role. The person does not need to configure routers, switches, or firewalls independently. However, they must be comfortable discussing technical topics with engineers and understanding the impact, dependencies, and risks of networking work.

• Network projects are delivered with clear ownership, timelines, and communication.
• Engineers spend less time chasing coordination details and more time on technical execution.
• Stakeholders receive clear and accurate updates.
• Risks and blockers are visible early.
• Changes are planned, approved, communicated, and executed smoothly.
• The networking team has better structure, prioritization, and delivery visibility.
