About Our Client

The client is a leading provider of electrical engineering and industrial automation services, delivering complex engineering solutions across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. They support clients in sectors such as power generation, transmission and distribution, substations, and data centres, with a strong reputation for technical excellence and innovation.

Purpose of Role

The Electrical Engineer will provide electrical design and power systems engineering support to client projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe. Working from Romania, the role focuses on HV/MV/LV electrical design, substation and data centre projects, and associated electrical studies, reporting into a Lead or Senior Engineering Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Producing MV & LV data centre electrical designs and studies including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination and arc flash studies.

• Developing HV & MV substation designs including layouts, control & protection design, single line diagrams, earth grids, LV distribution and cable design.

• Completing power systems studies including reactive power capability and protection coordination.

• Preparing technical documentation and drawings.

• Reporting to the Lead or Senior Engineering Manager.

Skills, Qualifications & Abilities

Essential:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Power Engineering.

• English proficiency to CEFR B2 or above.

• 1–3 years’ experience in a similar electrical design role.

• Experience using AutoCAD or similar tools.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Advantageous:

• Experience with EPLAN or similar.

• Experience with CDEGS, CYMCAP, ERACS, ETAP or SKM.
