Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations

• Support the recording and processing of accounting transactions in compliance with Romanian accounting regulations and internal procedures.
• Review, register, and process supplier and customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation.
• Organise, verify, and archive accounting documents, including invoices, receipts, expense reports, contracts, and bank statements.

Reconciliations & Reporting

• Assist with bank, supplier, and account reconciliations, identifying and escalating discrepancies when required.
• Support month-end closing activities and the preparation of financial reports by collecting and verifying accounting data.
• Assist in reviewing employee expense claims and related documentation.

Compliance & Audit Support

• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting and tax requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing and organizing requested documentation.
• Stay informed about relevant accounting and tax developments and participate in training activities.

Education & Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Suitable for recent graduates or candidates at the beginning of their accounting career.
• Previous internship or experience in an accounting or finance department is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Intermediate English language skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial documents, VAT, and Romanian accounting and tax regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.
• Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
