Adecco Romania is recruiting a Buyer for one of our clients, a reputable organization in the retail sector. This role is ideal for someone analytical, motivated, and eager to grow their expertise in procurement within a dynamic and structured environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the tendering process for non-commercial services at country level (maintenance, logistics, energy, recycling, etc.) together with Business Departments, Business Units, and Formats.

• Negotiate annual productivity plans with suppliers and ensure the deployment of key purchasing performance indicators: value analysis, cost breakdown, supplier number reduction, country synergies, benchmarking, near/off-shoring.

• Establish internal working groups to identify savings opportunities and propose improvements to existing business models.

• Lead QCD Performance Reviews (Quality, Costs, Deadlines) with selected suppliers.

• Monitor supplier financial health and dependency levels and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

• Drive the innovation process with suppliers to introduce new products, processes, and service innovations within the company.

• Implement and ensure compliance with internal procurement procedures.

• Take responsibility for annual performance objectives, including supplier cost reduction and internal expense control.

• Generate, manage, and monitor all procurement-related actions and projects within the assigned area.

• Contribute to the Supplier Panel strategy, working alongside Procurement Management, Business Departments, and other countries in the Group when relevant.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably from The Academy of Economic Studies (Finance, Economics, Accounting) or Polytechnic University.

• High performer with strong willingness to learn and grow within the procurement field; the role includes training and mentorship with a dedicated buddy.

• Analytical mindset and strong interest in working with numerical data.

• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

• Strong moral values: ethics, trust, responsibility, professionalism.

• Strong listening skills and emotional intelligence.

• Adaptable, team-oriented, and eager to learn.

• Openness to new technologies and future-oriented thinking.

• Good level of English.
