Role Overview

We are seeking proactive and detail-oriented Junior Data Analysts / Data Scientists to join our growing Model QA function. This is a data-focused role centred on analysing model outputs, identifying anomalies, and improving data quality across financial and sustainability-related models.

This is not a traditional QA/testing role—we are looking for candidates with strong data and Python skills who can apply analytical thinking in a fast-changing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting model validation, enhancing data processes, and contributing to strategic initiatives across our financial services clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse model outputs to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and data quality issues
• Perform exploratory and statistical data analysis using Python (pandas, scipy, numpy) and Excel
• Work with large and complex datasets to validate financial and sustainability models
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate issues and improve model performance
• Support the development and optimisation of data pipelines and validation processes
• Assist in building and maintaining data reports, dashboards, and visualisations
• Contribute to ongoing change initiatives and process improvements
• Ensure all activities align with internal standards and regulatory expectations

Key Skills and Attributes

• Strong Python data analysis skills, particularly with pandas and scipy
• Experience with data analysis in Excel
• Solid understanding of data manipulation, statistical analysis, and problem-solving
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt in a dynamic and evolving environment
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Effective communicator, able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
• Comfortable working with technical assessments, including Python-based exercises

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

• Exposure to data engineering concepts (ETL processes, data pipelines)
• Interest in or knowledge of Sustainability / Sustainable Finance
• Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Background in fintech, data science, or quantitative analysis
• 2–5 years’ relevant experience (with some opportunities for more senior candidates)
