About the Role

STIHL Business Services is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Financial Controller to join our Global Controlling Team. In this role, you will support financial controlling activities, including internal cost charges, project and investment cost tracking, month-end closing, and system-related maintenance in SAP. You will collaborate closely with Accounting, Project Management, and various departments to ensure transparency and control of financial flows.

Your analytical mindset and business acumen will contribute directly to maintaining STIHL’s operational and financial excellence.

You're a Great Fit If You:

• You have at least 1 year dedicated to Controlling, Asset Accounting, Management Accounting or a similar analyst role
• You hold a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• You possess strong accounting skills, attention to detail, and a solution-oriented mindset
• You are comfortable approving costs on cost center and projects within SAP, as well as assets under construction
• You have experience of cooperating with different departments on a workflow system
• You have advanced MS Excel skills and are proficient in other Microsoft Office tools; Power BI experience is a plus
• You have exposure to SAP Controlling and Project System modules, as well as ARIBA (purchasing)
• You have knowledge of cost centers, WBS, internal orders, and cost reallocation principles
• You are familiar with month-end closing processes and controlling workflows
• You can communicate fluently in English (German it`s a plus)
• You enjoy working collaboratively in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• You will be part of the Global Controlling Team, supporting monthly closing, for the EU entities within the STIHL group
• You will execute internal cost-recharge plans based on project cost structures
• You will perform planned rebooking received from internal departments
• You will ensure the correct correlation of project cost elements with Sales and Distribution resources
• You will support Asset Accounting operations, including basic asset creation and updates
• You will perform financial compliance checks across cost centers, project elements, and general ledger accounts
• You will validate requisitions related to material costs and investment projects
• You will support material master creation and update standard price calculations throughout the year
• You will manage SAP workflow releases, including reviewing, editing, and corrections
• You will maintain Appendix WBS and AUC (Assets under construction) documentation to support project and investment activities
• You will perform data maintenance to ensure project data consistency and reliable reporting
• You will maintain projects structures
• You will contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.
