Title: Key Account Manager – DIY & New Channels

Type: Full-time, On-site

About the Role

TP-Link Romania is looking for a Key Account Manager focused on DIY and New Channels, a dynamic sales professional who will develop and manage relationships with DIY chains, specialized retail, and emerging sales channels (e.g. new national partners, niche retailers, alternative routes to market).

This role complements our Consumer Sales team and directly contributes to TP-Link’s growth in Romania by expanding presence in DIY and new channels, strengthening cooperation with existing partners, and opening new business opportunities for TP-Link, Mercusys and Tapo.


Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow business relationships with key DIY partners and other assigned new channel accounts, ensuring sales targets (revenue/volume) are achieved.

• Identify, recruit and develop new channels (regional/national retailers, niche partners, alternative formats) aligned with TP-Link’s consumer strategy.

• Plan and execute tailored channel strategies and joint business plans for each key partner (DIY & new channels), including promotions, sell-out activities and in-store execution.

• Optimize presence and visibility of TP-Link, Mercusys and Tapo products in DIY and new channel stores (planograms, POSM, secondary placements, promotions).

• Support new product introductions, ensuring proper listing, positioning and launch activities in DIY and new channels.

• Monitor account performance, sales results and stock levels; prepare regular reports and implement corrective or growth actions where needed.

• Track competitors in DIY and alternative consumer channels, analyze pricing and assortment strategies, and propose tactical responses.

• Strengthen collaboration with existing partners while continuously mapping and developing additional DIY and new channel opportunities nationwide.


Requirements & Skills

• University degree in Economics, Marketing, Business, or Engineering with a sales orientation.

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience managing key accounts, preferably with DIY chains or other modern trade / consumer channels.

• Experience in opening new accounts or developing new channels (e.g. new retailers, new formats, regional partners) is a strong plus.

• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with both headquarters and store-level contacts.

• Analytical mindset, able to interpret sales, pricing and market data and translate them into action plans.

• Proactive, results-driven, and comfortable managing multiple accounts/projects in parallel.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
