Key Account Manager – Romania & Bulgaria (Energy & Electrical Infrastructure)
A global player in the energy and electrical infrastructure sector is expanding its presence in Romania and Bulgaria and is looking to hire a Key Account Manager to support market development and key customer relationships across both countries.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with utilities, grid operators (TSOs/DSOs), EPCs, and large energy players, supporting the growth of high-voltage and grid-connected solutions in a fast-evolving regional market.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop key customer accounts in Romania and Bulgaria, including utilities, EPCs, and major industrial clients
- Support business development activities related to high-voltage electrical equipment and grid infrastructure solutions
- Participate in local and international tenders, supporting bid preparation and commercial follow-up
- Assist with vendor qualification and product approval processes with grid operators
- Act as the local commercial and technical interface between customers and internal teams
- Identify new opportunities and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Collect market intelligence on competitors, projects, and regulatory developments
- Support contract negotiations and follow projects through award and handover
- Travel regularly within the assigned region
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
- 3–6 years of experience in sales, key account management, or business development within the energy or electrical infrastructure sector
- Exposure to high-voltage equipment, substations, or grid-related projects is a plus
- Experience working with utilities, TSOs, DSOs, or EPCs preferred
- Familiarity with tender-driven environments and long sales cycles
- Fluency in English and Romanian or Bulgarian
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel
- Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial and growing environment
