We are currently seeking a Laboratory Chief/Manager Engineer to join our growing Quality Team. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with 5+ years of experience in QA/QC Department, ideally within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all laboratory testing activities on site.
• Ensure testing of construction materials (concrete, aggregates, soil, shotcrete, asphalt, etc.) is performed according to project requirements and standards.
• Review, validate, and sign laboratory test results and reports.
• Ensure compliance with Romanian technical standards, norms, and quality procedures.
• Coordinate with site teams, quality control, supervision consultants, and the client.
• Monitor calibration, maintenance, and proper use of laboratory equipment.
• Guide and support laboratory technicians and inspectors.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and quality-related meetings.
• Report laboratory activities and results to the Quality Manager / Project Management

Requirements:

• University degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Materials, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction laboratories, preferably in infrastructure or metro projects.
• Experience in a supervisory or chief laboratory role is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of material testing procedures and quality standards.
• Familiarity with Romanian standards and regulations is an advantage.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• English proficiency is required; Romanian language is an advantage
