Role Description This is a full-time Lawyer role based in Bucharest, Romania, structured as a hybrid position that combines office presence with some work-from-home flexibility.

The Lawyer will handle complex and interdisciplinary matters, including drafting and reviewing contracts, legal opinions, and transaction documents, and will provide strategic legal advice across relevant practice areas. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal research, analyzing regulatory and commercial risks, preparing client-ready memoranda, and supporting negotiations with counterparties. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues and clients, managing workflows efficiently, and contributing to the development of practical, results-oriented solutions. The Lawyer will also help maintain high professional standards within the firm, participate in internal knowledge-sharing, and support business development initiatives when needed.

Qualifications

• 4 - 10 years of experience in law firms focusing on business law.
• Strong legal analysis and drafting skills, including experience preparing contracts, legal opinions, and complex transaction documents.
• Proficiency in legal research and interpretation of statutes, case law, and regulatory guidance, with the ability to translate findings into clear, practical advice.
• Solid understanding of one or more of the following areas: labor law, corporate law, civil law, construction law, non-bank financial institutions, advertising law, energy, GDPR, internet law, etc.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills, including the ability to explain complex issues clearly, collaborate effectively, and manage expectations.
• High level of organization, attention to detail, and time management, with the ability to handle multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Licensed to practice law, with a law degree from an accredited institution; prior experience in a leading or reputable law firm is strongly preferred.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
• Demonstrated interest in continuous learning, multidisciplinary work, and developing expertise in complex and non-standard legal problems.
