About The RoleIn this role, you will build and evolve secure, scalable Azure Cloud platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions faster. You will work with modern cloud technologies, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and automation to create resilient, secure, and highly available platform services. You will collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, and product teams to drive cloud innovation and support the delivery of business-critical applications.ResponsibilitiesLead the design, implementation, and evolution of Azure-based cloud platforms and infrastructureDefine and promote engineering standards, DevOps best practices, and platform architecture principlesDrive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation, and modern CI/CD practices across engineering teamsLead the architecture and operation of Kubernetes (AKS) platforms and containerized workloadsCollaborate with engineering, architecture, security, and product teams to deliver reliable and scalable platform solutionsReview infrastructure designs, deployment strategies, and implementation approaches to ensure quality and consistencyDrive improvements in platform reliability, observability, performance, resilience, and operational excellenceEstablish and promote cloud governance, security, compliance, and cost optimization best practicesEvaluate and introduce emerging technologies, including AI-powered engineering tools and platform capabilitiesContribute to technical roadmaps, platform modernization initiatives, and long-term engineering strategyRemain actively involved in hands-on engineering while providing technical leadershipRequirementsExtensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating enterprise-scale cloud platforms on Microsoft AzureProven ability to lead technical design, architecture discussions, and platform engineering initiatives while remaining actively involved in implementationStrong expertise in Infrastructure as Code, cloud automation, and CI/CD best practicesDeep experience designing and operating Kubernetes platforms and cloud-native applicationsStrong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, governance, resilience, and disaster recoveryAbility to mentor engineers, perform technical reviews, and guide teams through complex technical challengesExperience driving platform modernization, automation, and operational excellence initiativesAbility to collaborate effectively with engineering, architecture, security, and product stakeholders while influencing technical directionExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong ownership mindset with the ability to balance short-term delivery and long-term platform strategyHands-on experience with AWS or multi-cloud is considered a strong advantageSoftServe is an equal opportunity employer.
