About The RoleAs a Lead Full-stack Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain information systems for our Client, an organisation operating in the agricultural sector. You will work across the full stack — Java back-end services built on Spring and Hibernate, JavaScript front-end interfaces, and the SQL data layer beneath them — and take technical ownership of the solutions you deliver, from architecture decisions through to deployment and long-term maintainability.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain full-stack features, covering Java back-end services and JavaScript front-end interfacesTake technical ownership of the solutions you deliver, including their performance, maintainability, and data integrity across the application and database layersWork with business analysts, other engineers, and stakeholders in the agricultural domain to turn requirements into working software, and support colleagues through code review and knowledge sharingImplement business logic and data access using Spring and Hibernate, and design and optimise SQL queries and database structuresAnalyse, maintain, and evolve existing information systems, understanding current behaviour before changing it and preserving compatibility where requiredContribute to architecture decisions, including deployment on cloud platforms and in containerised environmentsEnsure code quality through testing, code review, and adherence to the team's established conventionsProduce and maintain technical documentation for the components you deliverRequirementsA university degree at master's level (or 5 years of higher education) with a minimum of 15 years of IT professional experience; or a degree at bachelor's level (or 3 years of higher education) with a minimum of 17 years; or a secondary degree giving access to higher education with a minimum of 22 yearsMandatory certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – AssociateAt least 7 years of experience with JavaAt least 4 years of experience with Spring and at least 4 years with HibernateAt least 16 years of experience with JavaScriptAt least 16 years of experience with SQLAt least 6 months of experience in the analysis, development, and maintenance of information systems in the agricultural sectorExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, Python, or Postgres is considered an assetVery good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, corresponding to Level B2 or higher (CEFR)SoftServe is an equal opportunity employer.
