Legal Advisor

place of work: Bucharest, Herastrau

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive legal support to Romania region, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and Portuguese headquarters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts with suppliers and clients, including, amendments, NDAs and commercial agreements.
• Offer guidance on construction law, commercial law, civil law, and corporate law; labor law knowledge is an advantage.
• Act as a bridge between the local market and headquarters in Portugal, ensuring smooth communication and compliance.
• Support and mentor junior lawyers; collaborate effectively within the legal team.
• Maintain strong organizational processes, ensuring rapid response to high-intensity work environments.
• Collaborate with business units and other departments to provide practical legal solutions.
• Prepare and present reports to the Legal & Compliance Director and ensure proper alignment with business needs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a corporate legal environment (mandatory).
• Membership in the Bar Association is highly desirable.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken (mandatory)
• Proven experience in contract negotiation and management of complex legal agreements.
• Strong understanding of construction, commercial, civil, and corporate law; labor law knowledge is valued.
• Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and adapt quickly.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience in mentoring junior legal staff.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with business units, departments, and headquarters.
