Adecco Romania is recruiting a Legal Counsel for one of the largest retail Romanian company in Romania.


• Law degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent);
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in retail / real estate / network expansion environments;
• Solid experience in negotiating commercial lease agreements;
• Strong practical knowledge of GDPR and data protection compliance;
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts in Romanian and English;
• Strong knowledge of civil and corporate law;
• Advanced English (written and spoken);
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and legal drafting skills;
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic business environment.
  

Provide comprehensive legal support to the company, with a strong focus on negotiating and managing commercial lease agreements and ensuring full compliance with data protection legislation (GDPR), while proactively mitigating legal risks and supporting business growth.

• Lease Agreements Negotiation & Management
• Negotiate and draft commercial lease agreements for retail / commercial spaces;
• Review and manage key contractual clauses (rent, indexation, term, guarantees, termination, penalties, parties’ obligations);
• Work closely with Expansion, Technical and Finance teams in the process of opening new locations;
• Manage legal relationships with landlords, developers and real estate consultants;
• Monitor contractual deadlines and legal risks within the lease portfolio.
• Commercial Contracts & Corporate Matters
• Draft, review and negotiate various commercial agreements (equipment acquisition, services, suppliers, etc.);
• Provide legal advice in civil and corporate law matters;
• Support corporate operations (shareholders’ resolutions, amendments to articles of association, capital increases, interaction with the Trade Registry);
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks.
• GDPR & Data Protection
• Ensure company-wide compliance with data protection legislation;
• Draft and update internal policies, procedures, records of processing activities and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs);
• Review and negotiate data protection clauses in contracts;
• Manage data subject requests and liaise with the supervisory authority;
• Provide internal guidance and training on data protection matters.
• Employment Law
• Provide legal support in managing employment relationships;
• Draft employer decisions, addenda, notifications and other employment-related documents;
• Advise on disciplinary procedures, terminations and employment disputes.
• Consumer Protection & Authorities
• Ensure compliance with consumer protection legislation;
• Manage the relationship with relevant authorities and support the company during inspections or administrative procedures;
• Draft official responses and legal positions.
• Construction & Urban Planning (Legal Support)
• Provide legal advice regarding permitting, urban planning documentation and property regime in development projects;
• Support interactions with public authorities in relation to construction and development matters.
