The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and availability of production equipment through planned and corrective maintenance activities. The role involves diagnosing technical issues, coordinating maintenance interventions, and contributing to reduced downtime, improved equipment reliability, and safe manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance activities according to established schedules, as well as corrective maintenance on production equipment;
• Safely diagnose equipment malfunctions, resolve technical issues through direct intervention, restore equipment functionality in a timely manner;
• Coordinate the activity of the maintenance team within the assigned shift/area, ensuring efficient task allocation and priority management;
• Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance team members in resolving complex technical issues;
• Monitor compliance with safety rules and work procedures by the team;
• Daily reporting of production, scrap, and equipment availability KPIs, and management of action plans to reduce technical downtime and scrap;
• Ensure compliance with equipment intervention procedures and spare parts warehouse procedures;
• Analyze root causes of major breakdowns and implement countermeasures together with the team to prevent recurrence;
• Monitor and analyze non‑conforming spare parts that lead to equipment malfunctions;
• Check current spare parts inventory and define the required critical spare parts stock;
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports regarding equipment downtime from a technical perspective.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar fields);
• Relevant experience in industrial maintenance (preferably manufacturing / automotive);
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems;
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills;
• English language skills – intermediate level;
• Team‑oriented mindset and availability for interventions when required.
