We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Engineer to oversee the operations and maintenance of solar PV powerplants across Romania. This role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance while maximising energy production and revenue.

Role Overview:

You will manage daily operations, maintenance activities, and O&M contracts, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to optimise performance. Site visits will be required to verify that operations and maintenance activities are carried out to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations, monitor performance metrics, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans to maximise equipment performance and lifespan.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on performance data, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, equipment suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage O&M budgets, track costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Prepare regular reports on O&M activities, performance, and budgets for management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate on lessons learned to improve operational processes.
• Support Health & Safety initiatives, including audits, training, and enforcement of safety policies.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement best practices for sustainability.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
• Knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, trackers, and monitoring systems preferred.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics; strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Self-disciplined, results-oriented, and highly organised.
• Professional working proficiency in English; Italian is a plus.
