Job OverviewTE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.Job Requirements Analyze system proposals for purchasing material driven by customer demand and work with production planners to optimize the production schedule, input in production planning. Identify potential risks to the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks. Process, launch and follow purchase orders to assigned suppliers; establish contact with new suppliers for new projects. Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate supply of products. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, production, and logistics, to gather information and align on demand forecasts. Track order fulfillment for the assigned projects Maintain in real-time SAP with correct and confirmed dates Take proper decisions in regards of material flow in order to maintain stock level in optimum range Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to address any shortages or excesses.
