At Deltamed, we design and manufacture special-purpose vehicles and integrated equipment where engineering quality, reliability, safety and technical traceability are essential. Our engineering teams work across the full product development cycle — from concept and mechanical design to prototyping, validation and production — in close collaboration with production, electrical, automation, quality, purchasing and suppliers. We are looking for two Mechanical Design Engineers to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of mechanical solutions that are not only technically correct, but also manufacturable, maintainable and properly documented. The roleAs a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for assigned mechanical design activities, from understanding requirements and developing the solution to creating the documentation required for manufacturing and supporting the solution through prototype and production. You will work independently on defined components, assemblies and mechanical functions, while collaborating with Senior Engineers and other technical teams on more complex topics. This is a hands-on engineering role where we expect you to take ownership of your work, organize your priorities and deliver your engineering outputs within agreed deadlines. What you will doDesign and develop 3D models, mechanical assemblies and 2D manufacturing drawings.Develop mechanical solutions for both prototype and production applications.Create and maintain BOMs, technical specifications, tolerances, materials and manufacturing documentation.Work in Siemens NX for mechanical design and Teamcenter for engineering data and configuration management.Apply DFM/DFA principles and take into account real manufacturing and assembly constraints.Work closely with production to identify and solve design-related manufacturing and assembly issues.Participate in prototype builds, testing and design validation.Implement approved design improvements based on testing, production feedback and engineering changes.Maintain consistency between 3D models, drawings, BOMs and released documentation.Follow engineering change, revision and release processes and ensure technical data remains accurate, current and traceable.Use Jira to organize and track assigned engineering activities, priorities and deadlines.Work with ASIS ERP for relevant engineering and production data according to Deltamed processes.Collaborate with electrical, automation, quality, purchasing, production and suppliers on mechanical interfaces and technical solutions.Provide technical support to production for assigned components and assemblies. What we are looking forBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Machine Building or a related technical field.min. 3-5 years of professional experience in mechanical design.Experience with mechanical design of components, assemblies or complex products.Good knowledge of technical drawing, dimensions, tolerances, materials and manufacturing processes.Practical understanding of manufacturing processes such as cutting, bending, welding, machining, surface treatment and assembly.Good understanding of Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly (DFM/DFA).Experience in Siemens NX is a strong advantage.Experience with Teamcenter or another PLM/PDM system is an advantage.Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment is an advantage; ASIS experience is a plus.Experience with Jira or similar task-management tools is an advantage.Ability to understand mechanical interfaces with electrical, electronic and pneumatic systems.Basic knowledge of mechanical calculations and structural behaviour; FEA experience is a plus.English – B1/B2 or above, sufficient for technical documentation and communication with suppliers and technical partners.German language is a significant plus. The profile we are looking forStructured and organized - You can plan your work, prioritize tasks and keep control of multiple deliverables.Responsible and accountable - You take ownership of assigned tasks and follow them through to completion.Production-oriented - You understand that good engineering is not only about designing a solution, but about making sure it can actually be manufactured, assembled and maintained.Detail-oriented - You understand the importance of correct dimensions, tolerances, BOMs, revisions and technical documentation.Delivery-focused - You can work with tight deadlines and communicate early when a technical issue or dependency may affect delivery.Proactive - You identify problems and missing information early and actively look for solutions.Collaborative - You can work effectively with production and other engineering disciplines and communicate technical information clearly.Willing to learn and grow - You are comfortable taking on increasing technical responsibility and developing toward greater ownership and independence. What ownership means at DeltamedWe are not looking for someone who only creates CAD models. We are looking for an engineer who understands the complete engineering workflow and takes responsibility for the quality of the work delivered. At Deltamed, an engineering task is not considered complete simply because the 3D model is finished. The deliverable is complete when the model, drawing, BOM and associated technical documentation are correct, consistent, approved, released and available in the right revision for the next step in the process. You will be expected to manage your assigned work, keep your tasks visible, respect agreed deadlines and raise risks early when support or escalation is needed. What you can expectThe opportunity to work on real, complex products that move from engineering to production.Exposure to the complete product development cycle: concept → prototype → validation → production.Close collaboration with experienced engineering and production teams.A practical engineering environment where design decisions have a direct impact on the final product. The opportunity to develop your expertise in Siemens NX, Teamcenter, manufacturing-oriented design and product development.Increasing technical responsibility as your experience with Deltamed products and processes grows.Join DeltamedIf you are a mechanical engineer who enjoys solving practical engineering problems, understands manufacturing and wants to see your designs become real products, we would like to hear from you.All applications will be treated confidentially. Only candidates selected based on the initial evaluation will be contacted for the next stages of the selection process. Our company promotes equal opportunities and selection based on skills and professional suitability.On-site job: Cluj (RO), GilauInfo: +40 727 758 [email protected] Show more Show less
