We are seeking a mid-level Go engineer with experience working with AI agents for one of our most significant projects in collaboration with Cisco. The product is a complex application representing a network simulator that monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, and assures the networks in real time. It helps identify anomalies, provide root-cause analysis, plan capacity, and manage and accelerate troubleshooting. The Bytex team is large, with more than 15 engineers who use the Agile methodology to work on the front end, back end, and testing.
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices in Go;
Develop and integrate REST APIs;
Integrate AI agents into backend workflows and support their operation and management;
Containerize services with Docker and deploy them using Kubernetes;
Create and maintain Jenkins pipelines and jobs for build, test, and deployment workflows;
Troubleshoot issues and improve service reliability and performance.
2-3 Weekly meetings (30-60 minutes long) at 18:00 or 19:00 CET;
EU flexible schedule (9-18).
30-45m Bytex HR introductory discussion;
1-2h Bytex technical discussion with our engineers;
Interview with the direct Cisco manager (focus on algorithms and agentic development);
Offer presentation.
3+ years of experience developing backend services in Go; personal projects are a plus;
Understanding of concurrent programming in Go;
Experience working with AI agents, including deep understanding of how they operate and how to manage them;
Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes;
Experience creating or maintaining Jenkins pipelines and jobs;
Experience developing and integrating REST APIs;
Experience with Git;
Solid understanding of algorithms and good problem-solving skills;
Basic Python knowledge for scripting and integrations is a plus;
Familiarity with Elasticsearch is a plus;
Understanding of networking concepts, including network layers, switches, and routers, is a plus.
