Daimler Truck & Bus Romania is looking for a Network Development Specialist to join our team in Voluntari!
The primary goal of this role is to strategically plan, implement, and manage a high-performing Mercedes-Benz Trucks service network. Ensure consistently high levels of customer satisfaction while providing an attractive franchise encouraging renewed investments in the Mercedes-Benz Trucks network.
Responsible for the overall development and implementation of the network strategy in your market which includes the definition of network targets to support growth and profitability. In collaboration with Customer Services and all relevant stakeholders, the Truck Dedication Manager is also responsible for overall business management in terms of Dealer Performance Management with focus on analysis, reporting and research.
Additionally, analyzing truck dedicated processes within dealer network and coordinating all relevant network changes which includes dealer openings, closures and simulating potentials for market areas to increase overall truck dedication.
The role is vital in supporting both the distributors and Daimler Truck AG’s volume and profitability targets.
Responsabilities:
Retail Network Strategy // Truck Dedication strategy
- Develop and implement mid- and long-term network strategies based on DTAG blueprints (network/location planning, Truck Dedication)
- Define qualitative and quantitative network targets including growth opportunities such as Truck Dedication and eMobility
- Drive and coordinate Truck Dedication implementation with all relevant stakeholders according to roadmap
- Identification of benchmark dealers to derive intelligence and provide guidance to the retail network
- Monitor and benchmark dealer locations using market intelligence (‘Area Potential Analysis’)
- Manage dealer mergers or start-ups aligned with DTAG’s strategic Truck Dedication principles
- Support implementation of DTAG Customer Service & Parts excellence programs
- Continuously analyse industry and competitor trends to identify opportunities for retail formats of the future
Dealer Performance Management
- Business Management: local ‘DTBM’- application and process run incl. a timely data submission, quarterly reporting to relevant stakeholders (TOC BoM, retail network), definition and implementation of action plans to increase dealer profitability
- Customer Loyalty management: analysis and reporting of CSI-KPI development (C-Star, HTS, Customer Retention) to respective business partners (CSP), joint definition and execution of measures
- Regularly organize and conduct business review meetings with retail partners – in alignment with TOC business departments (focus: CSP) – to optimize business performance and derive strategic input
- Research and analysis on competitor activities, e. g. regarding locations, size, services, financial strength, coverage, attractiveness
Retail Network Operations
- Coordinate network changes including dealer openings/closures and system updates
- Supervise national dealer associations
- Conduct due diligence on network partners (compliance checks, investor reviews, dealer consultations) on current and potential partners
- Analysis of truck dedicated processes within dealer network (including cost and effort analysis, creation of business plan for potential changes, development of tools and simulating potential of market areas and services)
- Intelligence management for team and wider business, as well as managing requests by business
Training and qualification:
- 2-4 years experience in Customer Service & Parts and dealership operations
- University degree
Technical knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of Customer Service & Parts and dealership operations
- Foundational product knowledge of vehicles and services incl. digital services and financing
- Knowledge of international franchising rules, regulation, laws and practices
- Knowledge of customer requirements in service of heavy-duty commercial vehicles
- Familiarity with local legislation related to freight transport and commercial traffic regulations
- Basic understanding of repair and maintenance of heavy-duty commercial vehicles
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting complex data, key trends, processes, complex operational and financial KPI’s to derive actions
- Experience in presenting to CEO / Board level and discussions with DTAG
- Experience in defining and implementing clear business strategies
- Ability to analyze market trends and provide strategic recommendations
- Experience in identifying growth opportunities and ability to translate it into business objectives
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills (business fluent in English)
