The Mission
The NFR Hubs Romania team is an integral part of ING's Non-Financial Risk domain.
The role is global and part of the Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Oversight & Reporting team which is based in both the Netherlands and Romania. The team contributes by acting as the first point of contact for all matters related to NFR reporting including regulatory reporting
Your day to day
- Act as a point of contact to help implement risk policies and procedures in NFR locations, collaborating with your team and local colleagues;
- Assist with coordination between local teams and global Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure frameworks are practical and used consistently;
- Support your team lead with planning NFR activities and organizing policy rollouts;
- Help track progress on global projects and encourage teamwork within the NFR community;
- Provide basic training and support to local NFR teams, helping everyone understand and apply risk oversight similarly;
- Take part in reviewing group-wide processes from an operational risk perspective and assist in preparing quality reports and insights;
- This role is great for someone looking to learn more about risk management, work with different teams, and contribute to positive change across a global organization.
Specific tasks
- Support the rollout and adoption of group-wide NFR (Non-Financial Risk) policies at local offices;
- Assist local NFR teams as they put new policies and frameworks into practice;
- Work together with Centers of Excellence and other teams to make sure frameworks are easy to use and meet risk-based needs;
- Help coordinate and track oversight activities such as meetings and reports for the team lead or manager;
- Contribute to reviewing risk assessments and control standards for operational and IT risks by providing feedback and supporting documentation;
- Help organize and sometimes present basic training sessions for local teams, and assist in developing knowledge resources;
- Perform simple checks on risk data to help monitor business activities and identify any issues;
- Support the team by helping to prepare accurate and timely reports on non-financial risk data;
- Participate in meetings with the global NFR community and assist in divisional oversight activities as needed.
What you'll bring to the team
- University degree;
- 5+ years of experience in non-financial risk management and governance;
- Affinity with cross-functional and cross-country collaboration;
- Familiarity with diverse regulatory environments;
- Good interpersonal skills, tenacity, and a change-maker mindset;
- Analytical mindset, and ability to work across diverse cultures.
