Job Opportunity

For our office in Bucharest, we are looking for an Operations Specialist who will support for the end-to-end management of shipments across Ocean, Rail, and Air freight, with a focus on Ocean Import. The role acts as the key operational contact for shipping lines, overseas offices, agents, and customers, providing proactive support, maintaining high service levels, and ensuring accurate cost and revenue management.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end operational handling of multimodal shipments, Ocean, Rail, and Air freight, with a focus on Ocean Import based on operational volumes;
• Handle operational activities from booking to final delivery, ensuring accurate data entry into the system and proper management of shipping documentation;
• Actively coordinate with shipping lines, overseas offices, and agents to ensure timely execution of shipments and compliance with agreed transit times;
• Provide operational support in case of delays, disruptions, or cargo holds, proactively managing re-planning activities and keeping customers and internal stakeholders informed;
• Prepare and provide freight rates and operational quotations in coordination with customer owners, indoor/outdoor sales, and, where applicable, directly to consolidated customers;
• Contribute to the analysis of cost and revenue deviations related to shipments handled, supporting the achievement of branch profitability targets.

Key Competencies

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in similar roles;
• Educational background in Business, International Relations, Foreign Trade, or related fields;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook;
• Knowledge of documents related to Ocean Import shipments;
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage priorities effectively.

Languages

• Knowledge of Romanian is required;
• Fluency in English;
• Additional languages are a plus.
