We are currently looking for an Operations Team Lead to join our team.

The Operations Team Lead is the end to end responsible of the team, platform operations, reliability, testing and communication with internal teams.

What you will do as:

Operations Team Lead

• Guide for efforts to improve existing infrastructure and ensure the SLA of the platform is kept in line with the current agreed SLA targets;
• Review periodical / critical platform KPIs; coordinate corrective and improvement actions in case of anomalies;
• Provide Level 3 on-call support
• Handle received escalations from Operations or other internal/external sources

Team Management

• Manage and lead a team of Operations Engineers
• Support in defining roles and responsibilities inside the team.
• Delegate tasks to ensure objectives are met
• Maintain and improve SmartMS Operations processes and guidelines
• Provide estimations of effort and dates for platform updates and communicate them to relevant stakeholders according to the communication plan.
• Train and coach team members
• Enforce the adherence to the company's quality processes and procedures
• Ensure current workload and task allocation is aligned with the existing resource level
• Be responsible for the implementation and the testing of upgrades and live launches
• Be responsible for overall platform SLA, monitoring and security
• Actively participate in the recruitment process: identify, assess and hire new team members

In terms of communication the Operations Team Lead will:

• Act as the main contact point for SmartMS Operations.
• Maintain close working relationships with development, support, marketing, and management teams.
• Participate in periodical status meeting about product roadmap and team status report.
• Organize project specific meetings with internal teams
• Escalate to management when needed as per current management guidelines

Requirements:

• Demonstrated leadership abilities and solid experience in managing teams and processes
• Linux experience (preferred RedHat) of minimum 5 years
• Database Administration: MySQL
• Networking: TCP/IP protocols and network architecture
• Virtualization solutions
• Basic telecommunications concepts and protocols

Any or more of the following would be highly appreciated:

• CCNA certification
• SQL certification and experience
• Knowledge SIR/RTP
• VmWare/KVM) knowledge
