If you want a hands-on opportunity to advance flight for future generations, this is the team for you.ResponsibilitiesJob DescriptionThe Machinist will set up and operate production machine equipment to include multi-axis CNC/NC machinesMachine all types of metalsGenerate and check part dimensions during various machining stages with complex measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, special purpose gauges, and scalesAchieve all required tolerances and finishes that will produce quality parts in a timely manner and for meeting standards as set forth by Manufacturing Engineering and QualityContinuous visual concentration with or without reasonable accommodation may be necessary to develop and maintain toleranceEnsure all characteristics generated at designated operation are conforming through use of applicable inspection techniquesPerform setup and operation of equipment to drawings, method sheets, etc., but may be required to supplement this information with own job knowledge on occasionDo preventive maintenanceMay be required on a temporary basis, to train operators to use certain equipment which the individual is qualified toResponsible for keeping facilities, material and work area orderly exercising care in their use, maintaining good housekeeping practicesMust adhere to all environmental, health and safety requirements and all qualityMust actively participate in a team based environment which includes, but not limited to the following: Active participation in daily team meetings and activities, cooperating and relating well with others, practicing direct professional communication with team members, and being open to new ideas from team members and considers opinions different from their ownUse all tools, jigs, fixtures, and gages necessary to perform operationsUtilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety proceduresRequired QualificationsTechnical secondary schools or above degree, majored in machinery/electric. Proven experience in manufacturing industry. Acquired knowledge of mechanical or electrical professional.Ability to understand the engineering drawings and documents.Acquired knowledge of cutting tools and quality. Ability to use standard measuring tools.Strong communication skills with NC programmers, Process engineers, Tooling engineer. Be familiar with CNC Machining Center/Heavy Machine first.Proven experience as tool administrator in mechanical machiningBe familiar with tool type, assembly and metal cuttingDesired QualificationsExperience with Zoller tool-measuring device.
