Project Overview

Our end client is a global leader in network connectivity infrastructure. They run IBM ELM / DOORS Next as a core engineering platform and use LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE) SaaS for performance testing, but their existing test suite has a problem: business stakeholders aren't confident the scripts reflect how users actually work in the system.

The surface task is converting 20 JMeter scripts into LoadRunner (TruClient/DevWeb). The real task is harder and more important, reverse-engineer the actual business-critical workflows from scratch, validate them against how real users operate DOORS Next, and rebuild the test suite so it's credible not just runnable.

If you're looking to do a mechanical port from JMeter to VuGen, this isn't the right role. If you can walk into an application you've never seen, talk to business stakeholders, and reconstruct what "a real day of load" actually looks like read on.

What You'll Do

Discovery & Flow Analysis

• Audit the existing 20 scripts against actual application usage patterns
• Work with business and QA stakeholders to understand what workflows matter and what concurrency is realistic
• Identify gaps between legacy test coverage and real user behaviour

 Remediation & Rebuild

• Rewrite/convert scripts from JMeter to LoadRunner using TruClient (for heavy browser-based UI flows) and DevWeb (for modern web protocols)
• Eliminate all hard-coded values — full parameterization is mandatory, target is 100+ concurrent users
• Repair broken scripts broken by application iFIXes and UI drift

 Validation

• Execute end-to-end runs in both QA and Production environments
• Confirm scripts produce results that business stakeholders trust

 Handover

• Document all fixes, design decisions, and parameterization patterns
• Deliver a Knowledge Transfer session so the internal team can own the suite going forward

What You Need

Must-have

• Expert-level LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE) SaaS — administration, script development, and execution
• Strong TruClient Protocol — stabilizing heavy, browser-based UI workflows is the core of this engagement
• DevWeb Protocol and JavaScript-based scripting
• Advanced parameterization — you should be allergic to hard-coded values
• Experience with load testing in complex enterprise applications (100+ concurrent user scenarios)
• Ability to engage with business stakeholders and translate "how we use the system" into credible test workloads, this is non-negotiable
• Fluent written and spoken English

Strongly preferred

• IBM ELM / DOORS Next experience (or any IBM engineering lifecycle tooling)
• Prior experience migrating from JMeter to LoadRunner
• Familiarity with requirements management or PLM workflows (helps you understand what DOORS Next users are actually doing)
