We’re currently seeking a

Plant General Manager

Reporting to the Executive VP Operations of the region, the Plant General Manager is accountable for ensuring strict compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations, while promoting a strong culture of accountability and operational excellence across all on-site employees, in accordance with AKWEL’s ethics code and anti-corruption charter.

The role holds full responsibility for customer satisfaction and the overall performance of production activities, optimizing internal and external resources to drive efficiency and profitability. The Plant General Manager operates in strict alignment with AKWEL Group requirements, strategy, policies, and the QSE² management system.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead risk analysis to understand the entity’s context, stakeholders, and key risks and opportunities, providing the foundation for the Industrial Plan.
• Define and propose the local production strategy, and develop the Industrial Plan in close collaboration with cross-functional and Group stakeholders, ensuring alignment between mid-term (3-year budget) and long-term (5-year plan) objectives.
• Ensure the effective management of human and technical resources to deliver efficient production operations, in line with the Industrial Plan and MPD guidelines:
• Define and deploy the local QSE² policy, ensuring clear objectives and team alignment.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable local regulations (health & safety, labor law, environmental, etc.).
• Guarantee product quality in line with customer and Group requirements, in coordination with Product Line Directors.
• Monitor and drive performance (QCD & HSE), with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
• Lead the deployment of the Industrial Plan through the Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP), driving performance across all departments.
• Build and develop the organization by coaching teams, strengthening leadership, and maintaining a positive social climate.
• Supervise plant-based functional teams.
• Supervise functional departments staff located in the plant

REQUIREMENTS :

Qualifications et Experience

• A-levels + minimum 5 years technical studies strengthened by 8 to 10 years manufacturing experience in industry.

Professional abilities

• Good communication skills, teamwork, analytical mind, rigor, strong leadership.
• Ability to manage a profit center, good proficiency in management accounting
• Good command of IT equipment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint…).
• Proficiency in English, French is a plus

Technical knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of working methods used by first tier automotive suppliers (MRP, Lean Manufacturing, JIT,…).
• Notions of labor law.
• Perfect command of the QCD aspects.
