Manpower Romania is currently looking for a Plant Manager forone of its clients – a global player in advanced composite manufacturing.

We are supporting the recruitment of a Plant Manager - Composite Production, a senior leadership role based in Bistrița-Năsăud County, Romania, with full responsibility for plant performance, P&L, and operational excellence.

This is a key role for a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives in fast-paced, automotive-driven environments and is passionate about building high-performing teams and world-class operations.

Key Responsibilities :

🔹 Own and drive overall plant performance including OEE, scrap, rework, labor efficiency and cost per unit

🔹 Full ownership of plant P&L with direct accountability for margin improvement

🔹 Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, cost and delivery targets

🔹 Implement Lean, Six Sigma and 5S practices to drive productivity and waste reduction

🔹 Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and APQP / PPAP processes

🔹 Champion safety, environmental compliance, and a strong safety culture across the facility

🔹 Develop, coach and lead a multidisciplinary workforce, fostering accountability and continuous improvement

🔹 Oversee budgets, capital investments, automation initiatives and technology upgrades

Candidate Profile

✔ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Materials Engineering

✔ 8–10+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in plant or production leadership roles

✔ Proven background in composite manufacturing (thermoset / thermoplastic processes, RTM, compression molding, automated layup)

✔ Strong knowledge of automotive quality systems (APQP, PPAP, FMEA)

✔ Experience with ERP/MRP systems and performance dashboards

✔ Fluent in English and Romanian; Italian is a strong plus
