Owning UK data centers, national MPLS network and many strong USPs, their portfolio includes Colocation, Cloud, Connectivity and Unified Communication solutions. This is the ideal role for a VMware infrastructure professional looking to join a dynamic team within a rapidly growing, award-winning and highly accredited company. You will ideally have in-depth technical knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) concepts along with specific VMware Cloud Director, vCenter, vSAN and NSX-V/T experience. What you would do & responsibilities

• As a key member of the Platform Cloud Team, you will be responsible for the upkeep and provisioning of the Node4 Virtualization Infrastructure following company guidelines for support, internal maintenance, and external projects.
• Install, configure, manage, and maintain dedicated and shared VMware Cloud Foundation aligned cloud platforms within the Node4 Data Centres.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud platforms and associated products and services.
• Perform firmware and software upgrades on cloud platforms to meet patching lifecycle requirements including out-of-cycle security hotfixes.
• Implement security best practices and compliance requirements for cloud platform environments.
• Provide 3rd and 4th Level support for escalated cloud platform incidents within defined SLAs.
• Work with an ITIL based approach to Incident, problem, and change management.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to cloud platform environments.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement long-term fixes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Service Desk, Cloud support, Security, DevOps, and Network teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures.
• Occasional weekend and evening work to facilitate upgrades and other works on the Node4 Cloud Platform.
• Part of On-Call Rota when required, providing out-of-hours support to escalations from second line support staff.

Qualification/Certification requirements

• In-depth understanding of VMware Cloud Foundation products, including vCenter, ESXi,
• vSAN, NSX.
• Experience of VMware Cloud Director and Cloud Director Availability.
• Experience of Aria Suite, including Aria Operations products and Aria Automation
• Orchestrator.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience configuring & managing virtualised and cloud
• infrastructures.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Ansible, Terraform,
• PowerShell).
• Experience with infrastructure logging, monitoring and management tools.
• Understanding of SDDC technologies and concepts.
• Understanding of Layer2 and Layer3 network design and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with other virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, Azure Local, Openstack) and
• public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge or experience with Backup products, e.g. Veeam, Commvault and Disaster
• Recovery products e.g. Zerto.
• Knowledge or experience managing Storage products.
• Knowledge or experience of Server Hardware Management tools e.g. HPE OneView, Dell
• OpenManage, Lenovo XClarity Administrator
