About the role

We are looking for a skilled PLC Programming & Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain advanced automation solutions for complex industrial machinery.

In this role, you will be responsible for PLC programming, CNC integration, motion control development, commissioning, and continuous optimization of high-performance manufacturing equipment.

You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, and software) to deliver reliable, safe, and cutting-edge industrial systems.

Key Responsabilities

• PLC Software Development: Design, program, test, and maintain PLC software for industrial equipment using Beckhoff PLCs and TwinCAT / CoDeSys environments.
• Motion & CNC Control: Configure and optimize CNC applications and multi-axis motion control systems.
• System Integration: Develop machine control concepts, including the integration of:
• Sensors and measurement systems
• Servo drives and motor control systems
• Pneumatic and hydraulic actuators
• Machine safety systems and safety PLC functions
• Industrial Networks: Configure and implement communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, and TCP/IP.
• Interface Design: Define software and hardware interfaces between PLCs, HMIs, CNC controllers, electrical systems, and third-party equipment.
• Commissioning & Testing: Participate in complete system commissioning, software testing, debugging, and root-cause analysis during development, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
• Architecture & Standardization: Contribute to standardizing automation architecture, programming guidelines, and reusable software libraries.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare functional specifications, software design docs, operating manuals, commissioning procedures, and test reports.

Qualifications

• Education:Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and industrial machine automation.
• Core Tech Stack: Proven experience with Beckhoff PLCs and TwinCAT or CoDeSys development environments.
• Motion & CNC: Hands-on experience with motion control systems, servo drives, and CNC-controlled machinery.
• Protocols: Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, TCP/IP).
• Safety & Schematics: Understanding of machine safety concepts/standards and ability to read electrical schematics.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, teamwork mindset, and fluency in English.
