A Snapshot of Your Day

As a member of an international team working on Extended Reality solutions, your responsibility is to scale up adoption of XR technologies in Siemens Energy, by mastering the portfolio elements, understanding the internal needs, and promoting and communicating to internal customers. Your daily tasks include calculating business cases, creating and updating communication media and channels, managing technology prospection, interacting with stakeholders in all business units, and receiving following up on implemented projects.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Improve transparency and understanding of current XR solutions by mapping, organizing and maintaining portfolio elements
• Increase perceived value of XR solutions within the IT organization, by creating and maintaining business cases, understanding the needs of internal customers and correlating to the value offered by the solutions
• Facilitating adoption by understanding the value, capabilities and limitations, as well as all relevant technical aspects of XR solutions offered by our team
• Facilitating implementation by assessing use cases, pointing to the best available solution or recommending custom solutions
• Scale up adoption of high-value XR solutions across the company by actively promoting the portfolio
• Improve value and decrease costs of our portfolio, by interacting with external providers to
• negotiate improvements and new features
• Keep leadership up to date, by following up on trends, and new solutions, constantly acquiring and updating knowledge with vendors, and cooperating with external consultants
• Keep leadership aware of new needs arising from the business

What You Bring

• Bachelor in IT-related field (computer science, software engineering), or business (administration, management).
• Minimum 5 years' experience as portfolio manager, or marketing/sales professional with strong experience in the IT field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with AR and VR technology, and knowledge of the XR landscape (solutions, and major technology providers).
• Experience creating and measuring business cases and value analysis.
• Track record of successfully implemented solutions.
• Ability to understand XR solutions from business and technical perspectives and to support internal customers making decisions.
• Ability to engage customers with solid narratives.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Stakeholder management skills.

The Extended Reality team in Digital Core is the North Star in Siemens Energy for augmented and virtual reality, as well as other interactive 3D technologies. Our global team supports the growth of the business by enabling and promoting XR technologies, platforms and applications, and driving innovative solutions with internal and external partners. We work with digitalization groups across the company to address all XR use cases and establish technical standards.
