🌱 Procurement Specialist – Greenfield Project

🧭 About the Role:

As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the operational setup and growth of Diehl Aviation’s new facility in Craiova.

You will be responsible for identifying and developing local suppliers, managing procurement activities, coordinating purchasing processes, and ensuring the timely availability of equipment, materials, and services required for business operations. Working closely with teams in Romania and Germany, you will contribute directly to the successful launch and sustainable development of our greenfield manufacturing site.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a reliable supplier base for the new Craiova site, with a strong focus on local suppliers and service providers.
• Manage procurement activities in close cooperation with Diehl Aviation teams from Germany and other international locations.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for facility-related projects, equipment installations, operational services, office supplies, and production-related materials.
• Support the procurement of equipment, technical installations, machinery, and related service packages required for the startup of the new facility.
• Create, process, and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and operational readiness.
• Prepare supplier requests, evaluate quotations, and support supplier selection processes.
• Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers while ensuring compliance with company standards and procurement policies.
• Build long-term supplier relationships and contribute to supplier development initiatives.
• Handle supplier claims and support the resolution of delivery, service, or quality-related issues.
• Actively contribute to achieving procurement objectives and supporting the overall business strategy.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure business needs are met effectively and efficiently.

🔹 Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of professional experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain activities.
• Experience working with local suppliers and a good understanding of the Romanian supplier market.
• Fluent Romanian and English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Experience with SAP Procurement modules and SAP Ariba.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and technical service specifications.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently while effectively managing priorities and deadlines.
• Willingness to travel for business purposes, including training at existing Diehl Aviation locations during the onboarding period.
