Premier Energy Furnizare is looking for a Product Owner to lead the full product lifecycle — from market analysis and concept development to launch, portfolio management, and performance monitoring. You will coordinate cross-functional expert teams, manage external research providers, and act as the owner of product vision, structure, and results across electricity and natural gas product lines.

What you'll do:

• Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify product opportunities, define customer segments and prioritise the product development agenda.
• Lead cross-functional expert teams through the full new product process: ideation, brief preparation, business case development and management sign-off.
• Develop and test product concepts with external research providers; recommend whether to proceed, iterate or kill based on results.
• Build the technical and commercial product sheets — core product definition, attached services, pricing structure and customer-facing materials.
• Coordinate required changes to IT systems (SAP, CRM) arising from new products; ensure billing and reporting capabilities are in place before launch.
• Define pricing strategy with the Pricing & Forecasting team, analyze scenarios and obtain approval from relevant directors.
• Develop the promotion strategy and coordinate launch activities across Sales, Customer Service and external partners.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers for product components and attached services; maintain and update the energy product portfolio; prepare documentation for management approval and distribute to commercial teams.
• Monitor product performance and lifecycle — tracking active customer numbers, subscription take-up and churn — and propose annual marketing strategies to sustain or refresh each product in the portfolio.
• Oversee post-launch service delivery: monitor supplier performance, validate invoicing accuracy and ensure service levels are met in line with the product specification.
• Define and maintain the rules governing subscription changes and early exits — including penalties, exit conditions and the process for customers who leave before the end of their subscription term.

What we're looking for:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in product management, product development, or a similar role — ideally in the energy, utilities, telecommunications or financial services sector.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams (commercial, technical, financial, IT) and managing external research or service providers.
• Familiarity with business case development, financial modeling and revenue/margin analysis.
• Experience with go-to-market planning, including pricing strategy, distribution channel selection and promotional campaign coordination.
• Ability to conduct and interpret market research, competitive analysis and customer segmentation studies.
• Experience working with IT systems in a product context (e.g., SAP, CRM platforms) and raising change requests or business requirements for system development teams.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel for financial modeling, PowerPoint for presentations, Word for documentation).
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to make well-reasoned, data-informed decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication — able to present complex product proposals clearly to both technical teams and senior management.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple product streams simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative and influential — able to align stakeholders across departments without direct authority.
• Ownership mindset: comfortable being the point of accountability for product quality, timelines and results.
• Fluent in Romanian & Proficient in English — written and spoken.

Nice to have:

• Background in the energy sector (electricity and/or natural gas supply, distribution or trading).
• Experience with SAP ISU/ERP modules or CRM platforms (e.g., CRM).
• Knowledge of Romanian energy market regulations (ANRE framework, tariff structures, customer protection rules).
• Experience with qualitative research methods (brainstorming facilitation, Delphi technique, consumer concept testing).
• Previous exposure to GDPR compliance requirements in a data-intensive product or marketing environment.
