Join an ambitious transformation initiative that aims to reshape and optimize Private Bank Operations in Germany and other key banking workflow areas.
The project introduces next-generation functionalities such as Pattern Detection, Forecasting, Centralized Steering, and Employee Skill Management Systems, enabling the Bank to predict and allocate workloads efficiently for over 4,000 Operations employees.
Technically, the application is built on a microservices architecture, combining Python for data processing, Java for business logic, and a modern Angular front-end.
You’ll be part of a cross-functional Agile team of 15 experts, including Data Scientists, Developers, QA Engineers, Business Analysts, DevOps, and a Scrum Master.
About the role
As a German-speaking IT Product Owner, you’ll act as a strategist, leader, and the voice of the internal client.
You will shape the product vision, manage the roadmap, and guide a multidisciplinary Agile team toward delivering high-quality, impactful solutions for Deutsche Bank’s operations landscape.
You’ll serve as the main interface between business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring clear communication, effective prioritization, and delivery of maximum business value.
Your key responsibilities
- Define the product vision and delivery roadmap in collaboration with business stakeholders;
- Prioritize features and manage the backlog, focusing on delivering measurable value;
- Collaborate closely with technical leads and architects to ensure sound technical solutions;
- Plan product releases, set expectations, and monitor implementation progress;
- Manage and align stakeholder expectations across different business units and regions;
- Create an environment of psychological safety, fostering innovation and accountability within the team;
- Be the go-to person for both business stakeholders and your Agile team members.
Your profile
- Fluent in German and English (mandatory);
- At least 5 years of experience coordinating Agile IT projects (as Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Agile Lead);
- Experience with workflow systems, ideally within banking operations;
- Good understanding of software engineering principles (TDD, CI/CD, testing practices);
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams;
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills;
- Strategic thinker, comfortable working in complex, fast-changing environments.
