🚀 Production Manager – Greenfield Project

We are excited to announce the development of a new Diehl Aviation production facility in Craiova, a greenfield project realized in partnership with ManpowerGroup Romania.

✈️ About the Role

As Production Manager, you will play a key role in establishing and leading the operational activities at the new site.

You will drive efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement, ensuring that production goals align with Diehl Aviation’s global standards and strategic objectives.

This is a pivotal position for building and scaling a high-performance manufacturing organization from the ground up.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate production setup, processes, and performance within a greenfield environment.
• Ensure operational excellence through planning, monitoring KPIs, and driving continuous improvement (Lean, 5S, TPM).
• Manage production resources, workflows, and equipment to ensure safety, quality, and delivery performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, logistics, and quality teams across Europe to achieve aligned goals.
• Develop and mentor production teams, fostering engagement, accountability, and professional growth.

🔹 Essential Requirements

• Willingness to relocate/travel to HUN/GER for initial training (90 days).
• 7+ years of experience in production management or operations leadership in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in greenfield or plant start-up projects.
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and 5S implementation.
• Solid knowledge of plastics technology, composite materials, and base materials, with proven experience in managing production processes involving such materials.
• Excellent command of English (both spoken and written).
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

🔹 Nice to Have

• Experience in the aerospace or high-precision manufacturing sectors.
• International exposure or experience in multicultural teams.
• Knowledge of German is an advantage.
