Position overview
We are looking for a Program Manager to join our team in Sibiu/Bucharest for the coordination, execution, and predictability of automotive software at the platform level. In this role, you will be responsible for the full program life cycle, from definition to end-of-life, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to oversee the Agile Release Train (ART), facilitating key ceremonies such as PI Planning and Scrum of Scrums while managing risks and dependencies. You will collaborate with product marketing and internal stakeholders to define program scope, drive change management, and provide clear financial visibility through budget forecasting and tracking to support decision-making within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for product managers, development teams, and business managers.
- Manage and track budget-related data, forecasts, and financial files at program level.
- Define software program scope with Product Marketing to meet target market and customer needs.
- Develop and implement change management strategies for smooth transitions during the lifecycle.
- Create and execute program plans aligned to roadmaps within time, cost, and quality targets.
- Monitor progress and metrics, create status reports, and take corrective actions.
- Oversee ART (Agile Release Train) execution, including PI planning, iteration planning, and System Demos.
- Organize and facilitate ceremonies: PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART sync, and Inspect & Adapt.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate risks and dependencies across teams within the ART.
- Ensure stakeholder alignment and coach teams to enhance Agile maturity and performance.
- Track budget consumption vs. plan to identify deviations and risks.
- Collaborate with finance stakeholders to provide management with clear financial visibility.
- Aligning program plans with roadmaps, and successfully making critical prioritization decisions to ensure delivery is met strictly within agreed-upon time, cost, and quality targets.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a Program Manager or similar role.
- Advanced Agile and SAFe Framework execution, including the Agile Release Train (ART).
- Direct experience in program-level budgeting, financial forecasting, and reporting.
- Full ownership of the software platform lifecycle, from initial definition to end-of-life (EOL).
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall and how to mix them to match project goals.
- Proficiency in PM tools and software, such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- SAFe certified, preferably as Release Train Engineer or SAFe Program Consultant.
- Automotive specific development processes such as ASPICE, ISO 26262 and embedded programming.
- Experience in implementing change management strategies within diverse, multi-cultural organizations.
- Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle with focus on definition and development.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in leading diverse multi-cultural teams towards common goals.
- Ability to effectively bridge and align Product Management and System Architects.
- Proven ability to mitigate complex dependencies across multiple cross-functional teams using SAFe methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving results.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in English (speaking & writing).
