Senior Project Engineer – Steam Turbine Major Overhauls (Global Opportunity)

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer with a minimum of 15 years of engineering experience and deep expertise in steam turbines and power station operations.

In this senior, globally facing role, your primary focus will be coordinating steam turbine major overhauls and managing technical projects from end to end. You will bridge the gap between technical project management in the office and critical on-site execution. We need a proactive, independent leader who is completely comfortable stepping onto a power station site, taking charge of complex overhauls, and communicating directly and effectively with international clients in English.

Key Responsibilities

• Major Overhaul Coordination: Lead, coordinate, and execute steam turbine major overhauls and critical inspections at power stations globally.
• Technical Project Management: Drive maintenance projects from a project management perspective, ensuring strict adherence to scope, timelines, safety standards, and technical excellence.
• Independent Client Leadership: Act as the primary technical authority for our clients. You will independently lead technical meetings, manage client expectations, and provide clear, authoritative progress updates.
• Equipment Oversight: Utilize your comprehensive knowledge of power station equipment to troubleshoot issues, advise clients, and optimize site operations.
• Global Travel: Spend up to 50% of your time traveling internationally to deliver hands-on project leadership at various client sites.

Qualifications & Experience

This is a senior position requiring a blend of deep mechanical expertise, field experience, and strong project leadership.

• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of proven experience in the mechanical engineering field.
• Specialized Expertise: A strong, demonstrable track record of specifically coordinating and managing steam turbine major overhauls.
• Industry Knowledge: Thoroughly accustomed to power station environments, with an expert understanding of Balance of Plant (BOP) systems and heavy rotating equipment.
• Communication & Language: Fluent and highly proficient in English (both written and spoken). You must possess the professional communication skills necessary to independently host meetings, present complex technical data, and negotiate technical scopes with clients.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
• Global Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
