Job Summary
We are looking out for an experienced smart metering engineer to lead the technical execution, installation and commissioning of smart meters (single phase or three phase, DT, HT) across client sites. The ideal candidate will manage AMI infrastructure, including headend systems ensuring seamless data acquisition, meter connectivity, and compliance with industry standards.
Job Description

• Project Deployment and Management: Plan and execute end to end deployment of smart meters including field survey and installation and commissioning.
• System Integration: Support integration of smart meters with Head-end-system (HES), meter data acquisition system (MDAS) and meter data management system (MDMS).
• Performance Analysis: Monitoring and evaluate field performance, focusing on meter accuracy, communication reliability and data consistency.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Coordinate with vendors and/or field teams to resolve related to technical problems.
• Documents and Reporting: Maintain inventory management reports, prepare site surveys, AMC reports of smart meters already installed and commissioned and project progress report.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards during installation.
  

Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of electrical systems (single phase and three phase), distribution transformer operation, CT & PT connections and their specifications.
• Strong communication and client-handling skills
• Ability to read basic electrical drawings, circuits and layouts
• Commercial awareness and cost sensitivity
• Should be tech savvy (Microsoft Word & IMS)
• Willingness to travel for site visits
• Proficient in English, Hindi, and Bengali (spoken and written)
