Property & Engineering Team Leader

Our client, a leading insurance company, is seeking an experienced Property & Engineering Team Leader to drive the underwriting strategy and portfolio performance of its Property and Engineering lines of business.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned underwriting professional who combines technical expertise, commercial acumen, and strong leadership skills. You will play a key role in managing complex risks, supporting business growth, mentoring a talented team, and contributing to strategic initiatives that drive long-term success.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee underwriting activities across Property and Engineering Insurance portfolios.
• Assess risks, underwrite complex business, and develop competitive insurance solutions for corporate clients.
• Manage and expand the existing portfolio, with a strong focus on profitability, risk quality, and sustainable growth.
• Partner closely with Sales teams, brokers, and clients to negotiate and structure tailor-made insurance solutions.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative products, client solutions, and strategic projects.
• Support senior management through portfolio monitoring, business reporting, and alignment with company objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the underwriting team, promoting knowledge sharing, collaboration, and professional growth.

What We Are Looking For:

• 5+ years of proven underwriting experience within Property and Engineering Insurance
• University degree, ideally in Engineering, Economics, or a related technical field
• Strong expertise in risk assessment and complex corporate underwriting
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
• Strategic, solution-oriented, and commercially driven mindset
• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities
• Very good MS Office skills
• Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken)
• Leadership capabilities, accountability, and a passion for team development
