A typical day might include the following:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using Python and Spark to handle large-scale data processing.
• Integrate, transform, and manage data across AWS services including Glue, Athena, and Redshift.
• Perform data analysis to validate, cleanse, and enrich datasets for downstream applications.
• Conduct functional and automated testing of data pipelines to ensure reliability and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and debug existing workflows, performing performance tuning to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions.
• Contribute to lakehouse architecture development, integrating structured and unstructured data effectively.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in data management, governance, and security.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Python and Spark for distributed data processing.
• Solid SQL skills and experience in complex queries.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data integration and processing tools: Glue, Athena, Redshift.
• Proven experience in data pipeline development and maintenance.
• Knowledge of functional and automated testing techniques for data workflows.
• Strong understanding of performance tuning and debugging in data pipelines.
• Familiarity with lakehouse architectures and modern data engineering patterns.
• Analytical mindset with attention to data quality and detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
