Position overview

We are looking for a Python Developer to join in a new project with a leading public

transport provider from Belgium, focused on building an intelligent, connected platform

that enhances operational efficiency, passenger experience, and fleet management

through IoT and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Work with modern Python frameworks and cloud technologies
• Build scalable APIs and microservices architecture
• Identify and efficiently resolve technical issues related to feature implementation.
• Perform debugging and performance optimization.
• Design and implement microservices architecture patterns for scalable distributed
• Systems
• Optimize application performance through caching strategies, database indexing, and query optimization
• Implement asynchronous processing using Celery, Redis, or similar task queue systems
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using logging, metrics, and application performance monitoring tools
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python backend applications using frameworks
• Build robust RESTful APIs a that serve frontend applications and third-party integrations
• Implement secure authentication and authorization systems
• Integrate with third-party APIs and services, handling rate limiting, error handling, and data transformation
• Design and implement webhook systems for real-time data synchronization
• Write comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests using pytest and related testing frameworks
• Implement security best practices including input validation, SQL injection prevention, and secure data handling
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality and
• documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development;
• 5+ years of professional experience with Python (Python 3.x preferred);
• Strong proficiency in Python libraries and microservices.
• Experience in working with embedded systems
• Work experience in resource management, networking
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent English skills (written and spoken).
