Your new role and environment.

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our Payments team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the meticulous testing of our Knox payment platform which handles all the payment flows for our checkout processes.

The Payments team have built the Knox payment platform in house and have been expanding it and the easily scalable test automation framework for the last few years. The future plans to roll out the platform to multiple other labels and brands within Ahold Delhaize require that the test automation stays lean, efficient and comprehensive.

By spearheading the test automation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems.

Key responsibilities of your role.

• Design, develop, and execute automated test plans and scripts for the Knox platform.
• Keep the Kotlin based test automation for our Knox platform up to date and functioning.
• Perform API, database and event testing to ensure the integrity and functionality of backend services.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify test requirements and define test strategies.
• Analyze test results and report findings to continuously improve product quality.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
• Maintain documentation regarding test procedures and results.

Requirements.

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in QA field.
• Experience using a JVM based language such as Java, Kotlin, or similar.
• Clear experience with automated testing of backend systems (particularly API testing).
• Experience with setting up and maintaining performance tests of backend systems.
• Experience using testing tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Postman, rest-Assured, or similar.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Nice to have requirements:

• Experience in payments domain development teams.
• Experience with Java or Kotlin based test automation
• Experience with event messaging systems (Kafka).
• Knowledge of development and QA for embedded environments.
