Our client is a well-established European technology company undergoing a large-scale AWS cloud migration across multiple engineering teams. They are looking for experienced QA Engineers to play a key role in ensuring service quality throughout the migration process and in building a robust testing framework that will remain in place long after the migration is complete.

Position description

This role goes beyond traditional QA. You'll work closely with software engineers to understand how services behave, define quality standards at API and integration level, and build comprehensive test suites that safeguard production systems throughout each migration phase.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and document the functional behaviour of services being migrated.
• Design and execute service-level testing strategies covering functional, integration, regression and smoke testing.
• Perform API testing using Postman or equivalent tools, validating happy paths, edge cases, authentication flows, error handling and data integrity.
• Create and maintain environment-specific test datasets.
• Establish pre-migration baselines and validate post-migration behaviour to identify regressions.
• Verify integrations and dependencies between services throughout the migration process.
• Validate rollback procedures together with engineering teams before production deployments.
• Report, prioritise and track defects with clear documentation and reproducible steps.
• Maintain high-quality test documentation, including test plans, datasets and release sign-offs.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to quality discussions during planning and refinement.
• Help build a reusable regression test library for future releases.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong experience with API testing using Postman.
• Excellent understanding of functional and integration testing.
• Experience validating REST APIs, service dependencies and distributed systems.
• Working knowledge of SQL for test data validation.
• Strong documentation and defect reporting skills.
• Experience working within Agile development teams.
