About the role:

For a project in the area of Digital Services & Personalization within the automotive industry, we are looking for a QA & Defect Management Engineer to ensure high product quality through structured testing, defect management, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, and document manual and automated tests;
• Perform functional, system, and regression testing;
• Manage and coordinate defect and ticketing processes;
• Analyze defects and support root cause identification;
• Monitor defect lifecycle and quality KPIs;
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and operations teams;
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, ideally supported by a strong academic background (top universities, solid results);
• Experience in software testing, QA, or defect management;
• Experience in Big Tech, automotive, or industrial environments is highly preferred;
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle and release processes;
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Xray, TestRail, ALM, or similar;
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail;
• Fluent English (German is a plus);
• Proactive mindset, strong sense of ownership, and ability to work independently in a fast-growing environment.
