Overview

You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, develop comprehensive test plans, and leverage automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.

Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining automated testing solutions for desktop applications, while also supporting web and front-end testing where applicable. This role is essential to optimizing software quality and ensuring seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for applications
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage from the early stages of development.
• Design and implement robust test automation frameworks that integrate seamlessly into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Identify, document, and troubleshoot defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices to enhance automation coverage and reliability.
• Maintain and optimize automated test suites, ensuring they align with software updates and business needs.
• Monitor and analyze test results, providing detailed reports on software quality and identifying areas for improvement.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, helping them improve their automation skills and understanding of quality assurance best practices.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in automation testing, AI-driven testing, and software quality engineering, implementing innovative solutions where applicable.

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with at least 2 years in automation testing for desktop applications.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain comprehensive test cases.
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining automated test scripts for desktop software
• Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency in automation testing using object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, or C++.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to execute manual tests to ensure software quality and identify defects.
• Strong communication in English (spoken and written) and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with 3D software or CAD software, ideally testing desktop-based environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (Azure).
• Experience in SQL queries and database testing.
• ISTQB certification
• Experience with performance and security testing
• Experience designing scalable automation frameworks for desktop applications.
