QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

We're looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our Technology, Data & Innovation team in Bucharest.

You'll be part of a team responsible for maintaining and enhancing a central client reference data platform that supports critical banking processes through more than 2,000 interfaces. While maintaining core functionality, the team also develops modern solutions using REST APIs, Angular, Big Data, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and other innovative technologies.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an Agile environment, contributing to the quality of business-critical applications while supporting digital transformation initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Review user stories and create comprehensive test cases.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, business stakeholders, and operations teams to define and align testing strategies.
• Translate business requirements into effective test concepts and test plans.
• Execute, document, and maintain test cases and test results.
• Communicate testing progress and quality status with the team.
• Support Level 3 (L3) issue investigation by reproducing production issues in test environments.
• Assist with release preparation and testing activities to ensure successful deployments.

What We're Looking For

• Several years of professional experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing.
• Experience testing web-based applications and front-end solutions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within Agile delivery teams.
• Passion for learning new testing tools, technologies, and best practices.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and with Agile tools.
• Knowledge of the investment banking domain and operations is considered an advantage.
