🎯 The Role

QA Lead responsibilities:

• Define and champion QA standards, testing frameworks, and best practices across the SDLC

• Design and oversee test automation strategies (Karate, Gatling, or equivalent — strong framework experience essential)

• Lead performance testing strategy and ensure systems meet scalability requirements in high-throughput environments

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with a focus on stability, speed, and flakiness reduction

• Drive defect management, root-cause analysis, and shift-left quality embedding

• Mentor and grow QA engineers technically — you lead by doing, not just directing

Scrum Master / Technical PO responsibilities:

• Facilitate all Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, refinement, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives

• Maintain a healthy, well-documented backlog and translate technical needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria

• Bridge developers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure technical clarity and delivery predictability

• Track progress, remove impediments, and promote continuous improvement

🛠️ What You Bring

• 8–12 years in software QA (manual & automated) with a genuine engineering and programming foundation

• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (Karate preferred) and performance testing tools (Gatling preferred)

• Solid understanding of microservices, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and git-based workflows

• Proven experience mentoring or leading QA engineers

• Strong Agile knowledge with active involvement in Scrum facilitation

• Excellent communication, ownership mindset, and stakeholder coordination skills

• Fluent in English

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with TDD, BDD, or ATDD in complex system landscapes

• Familiarity with SEPA CT, SEPA DD, Instant Payments, TIP CT, INT CT and payment message formats (PAIN, MX, XML, JSON)

• Exposure to high-throughput transaction systems and performance optimisation

• Monitoring, observability, or log analytics tools for validating production behaviour

• Contract testing background

• Certifications in Software Testing, Payments, or Cloud/DevOps domains

• Experience defining technical requirements or acting as Technical PO
